A Taekwondo Friend - Jervel

This gal Eo Huimei, Jervel. I've known her for very long. She started taekwondo in Punggol CC back in 1999. I also not sure when I knew her. And now I'm after her. haha

Last week, when me and Huimei went to Hougang mall to have dinner before training, got spotted by Bruce Lee. Lol then Thursday kept on disturbing me about us. Hee hee seem to be ok with the ideal of this BGR thing.

I hope Huimei will be my first girlfriend, mmm I actually set a time frame for her to decide, because I do not want to be that kind of guy just get it (girlfriend I mean) easily and dunno how to treasure. I give myself a time line till next year to know her better and to be a better man. =)

From now till next year, she will be taking a big exam. Ha Ha.... Hope I can pass her judgment.

Trip to Pegerang (Si Wan Dao)

Pegerang is a small town in Johor. We took a ferry there from changi point ferry terminal. There is nothing much to do there. I can say it's a place to relax. Mmmm just like a chalet in overseas ba. And it's really much , much cheaper than Singapore.

These are the charges:

Bum boat = $9 (SIN) single way

Hotel / Room charges = RM 50 per night (room of 3)

Day 1 Seafood = 5 items (includes prawn, crab, lobster, beancurb & vege)

==> RM $198 (pax of 4) [Cheap or Not? You Decide]

Day 2 Seafood = 5 items(Fish, Frog legs, Beansprout, Bamboo Clams, Egg)

==> RM $107 (Pax of 4)

Ostrich Farm: RM $10 (adult) RM $6 (Kids)

We just go there around 12pm on Saturday(20 Sept) and Back around 2pm on Sunday (21 Sept). I went with my grandmother, auntie, uncles and cousins. Hee and special thanks Mr Yong Wei Siang(Army Pal) and his girlfriend also joined in the trip.

Highlights there: We went to ostrich farm. Also there is Mango Farm. Desasru also near-by there.

For people who just want to go there relax. Enjoy sea breeze and have fun with friends or have cheap seafood can jio me along. Just spent a lazy weekend there with like less than $80 (SIN).

Finally Finally Work is done.... Muhahahaa

Finally finally..... Frequent viewer may think that I've abandon this blog. The truth is, I was too busy to even sit down to look at it. lol.

One super big exhibition is enough to exhaust me out. Last week I have 2.... 1 Major one was Kwang Tong's "The Multi-Language Editions of the Dao De Jing" at Suntec Convection Hall Level 3, 4th Spet - 9th Spet. The whole exhibition took about 6months of planning and cost more than 200k. With GOH, Mr Nathan on the opening on 4th Sept 2008.

For this exhibition, I've skipped meals, Skipped Taekwondo, Extra OT, but when I see the results. My heart gave a gentle smile.

Some people may think it's no very grand. Some thinks we use nice colour. Other give bad comments. But after all, this was so far the biggest project I've handle. And I'm very pleased about it. Hee but too bad I dun have anyone beside me to share the joy. =x (keke kidding)

The Birth of First Batch T-Shirts

Today Shijin received the first batch of T-shirts. And Thank you Wei Qun, who took the big red bag of T-shirts all the way from his school TP, to my class. From Tampines to Serangoon and so heavy somemore.... *Clap Clap*

This T-shirt does not come easy. With so much comments and so much problems faced. Effort and money threw in. The results is *hee* overwhelming, not enough for everyone.

However, I still worry sir's "stage". If he say no to the T-shirt. I dun think anyone can wear for training or in front of him. Hopefully does not receive negative feedback from him. Another person will be Mrs Tay (Mark's Mum), she mentioned that the shirt has no meaning. =.=" dotz....

Coming back to the same thing, people who did not put in effort normally has the most things to say. (or maybe, according to Mark, her mum a bit kanna psycho by sir, which makes her commented like this)

Learning to be Appreciative....

Today, after training at Pasir Ris Park, we went to Mac in White Sand. I then got the players who have not paid the T-shirt (Design By Shi Jin) to pay up. This is when I was asked how the T-shirt will look like. I received negative feedback. They were the 3rd group of people who bad mouth the T-Shirt.

So, in order not to disappoint them, I sms Shi Jin to ask her if the T-shirt can modify the design a bit. However, after checking, she mention that cannot be change as it's already printed. She wanted to absorb the 50pcs, which then I turn her down. Crazy gal =.="

I really appreciate her design whether it's nice or not. Out of 500 plus members only she stands out to design the T-shirts and find supplier to help us print (which I need to give credits to her), and now what she got was full of disagreement. Kaoz.... people must really know how tough it was to design such T-shirts and the powerful phase that she've chosen.

During the chit-chat in Mac, we did also talked about the new "club name". Alan wanted it to be "Sabertooth Martial Arts Club" [SMAC]. And I even agreed to design the logo. Like Shi Jin's case, the design received a lot of comments, Some are good but most are bad. Lol.... If people only talk but no action, haiz.... must well dun talk right? hahaha

2nd Training at Pasir Ris Park

Today, again Alan train us in Pasir Ris Park. Today, Wei Qun(BHCC) and Lixian(PCC), who could not make it last week, came this week. And Gorge (PCC) who had to work this morning still afford to turn up to apologise to Alan. He wanted to watch the training, but was turn down by Alan.

Today, I was not on form, I did not have enough sleep from Sat and dun feel like training this morning. Ha drag myself there de, so that the players have more motivation. (Coach who did not take part join in training with them). Ha Ha Some will say I extra la. But to me, coach will know their players very well if they undergo the same trainings, their progress and their standard can be monitored more closely. But today, because of my low performance, I got injured during sparring. Not stamina is one thing, never do much kicks, and left thigh kanna knee jab by Li Xian (accidentally) during round 3. Although it's a foul, but I do not blame him for that.

After the training, as usual, we went for breakfast at Mac, just that today's Mac was White Sands Mac and not Elias Mall de.

The Pasir Ris Park Training

03/08/2008 was a good experience for me after so long of "empty" trainings in Braddell Heights CC as well as Punggol CC.

Yesterday was a fine Sunday, and Alan made the players who will be taking part in the coming national tournament to wake up early in the morning and undergo tournament style of training, the training started at 8am till 10am. Location: Pasir Rs Mrt Ended in: Pasir Ris Park.

Me of course cannot miss such a great training. I joined in as "KPO" haha. First Alan made them run from Pasir Ris Mrt to Pasir Ris Park wearing with padding on and guards on; and 2 padding each. Of course invited lots of unnecessary notice from outsider.

Then in the park we did kickings and our shouting actually scared a few ponys (we were training near the pasir ris park stables) and we were warned. But our spirits still very good, we proceed with kicking with min. shouting and ended with sparring.

During the sparring session, I was put to spar Jia Hao in first round. I've kicked Jia Hao on his head once which made him a bit disappointed (I can tell). Anyway I felt a bit bad but still I wanted him to learn. Anyway overall, I think it's a good training both for me and the players. Hope next week there will be more attending. =)

I Finally Found It... Ha Ha Ha H.O.T

Why H.O.T..... his was a korean band formed in 1995 but disband in 2000. They had really good song like "Candy", "Song for the lady" and "We are the furture".

Why I like this Band so much. Hee I was introduced to this band and their song by Shiting and Tricia (as you can see these 2 names were in my list of admirers). Ha ha at that time, these 2 gals were in Punggol CC Taekwondo Group, and I was tasked to put up a Taekwondo Demo, a dance aka "Taekwondo Aerobics". Hee so we picked the song by H.O.T (haha bo bian, the gals like it).

And this dance was a special one, as it was the only dance planned so far, it involves some of the "Top" fighters at that time in our club, Yaokun, me, Colin, Daniel and Shiting. And they are all dancing. haha sure great fun right? I think so too. we include kicks like 360 turning and jumping kicks in the dance. jumping up and down together. Ha Ha

This CD I cannot find anywhere in Singapore. Even in 2nd hand shop. In the end I got it from Internet purchase. I initally thought that my money will go down drain. But today when I saw the parcel from overseas, I was delighted.

Pasir Ris Zone 12 Taekwondo Meet 08

Ha it was a good Saturday to held the tournament, despite of the multi-purpose hall being taken up by religious event (which the tournament initially should be held).

Me, Alan and Mark was there as early as 9am to view new locations that we can make shift for the tournament. Finally we decided to hold it at Blk 510.

I think this tournament everyone had a good fight. But for me I wasn't too happy about my results. I dun have enough stamina to excute kicks I intended to do. Sad.... And I was a bit sorry for Shijin and Shermain who wanted to fight but didn't had a chance to do so. Sorry gals.... Haiz...

Anyway, overall, the tournament went on well and quite smooth. I had good support from all my friends and from the Zone 12 RC side too. Thank you all my helpers and Players. From the bottom of my heart. Cheers!!!

1st Gal who slept on my bed: Jestina Yeo Mei Yan(From Taekwondo around 1998); A group of friends overnight at my place after majiong, so to be gentlemen I gave up my bed to her and all of us slept on the floor =x

1st Gal I admire: Chen Shuian Harn (From my primary school around 1990); at that time she's rumoured as my "da lao po"(elderest wife). I got 3 others, Cherlene Choo(2nd), Chew Wanling Angie(3rd), Huang Hexin(4th). I'm one of the fastest runner in the school, always help our house colour get champion. So too these 4 gals also somehow tagged to me le =p

1st Gal who Hug me: Angel Ho Weiling(secondary sch band concert 99); I'm a very timid guy so a hug to me really means a lot. She's considered my very good friend at that time

The girl I admire the longest: Angel Ho Weiling, 3.25 years

The gal that gave me a hate and like feeling: Cheryl Liow Yun Xi; She trained me to be strong towards relationship, the falls and backs of good and bad relationship. She does special things on my birthday which on others would not do. She's really a nice gal. =)

The Important People In My Life So FaR.....

It has been quite sometime since my last blog. Today, I came about an email on people who makes a difference in someones life. I too have people who are really special in my life too, beside of cos my parents and siblings.

First: My kindergarden teacher: Mrs Teo, she first taught me the difference between "Your" and "My"

Second: My Secondary(Pasir Ris) teacher: Mrs Sum Koon May; She put-up an act which involve the whole class on Japanese occupation and win us first prize. She also wrote a poem which uses the whole class name in it. I still have the paper with me. (10 over years le)

Third: My Taekwondo Instructor: Mr Lee Kwang Peng; he trained me into a good taekwondo instructor I am today. And with all my achievements, cert, fame, etc... he is the man worth mentioning many many times =)

The rest would be girls who stand a special place in my heart. Despite of how forgetful I am I still remembers....

Daniel vs Tian Soon

arh.... Today at zone 12, when i gave my kids (my class) water break. Sir Bruce lee arrange sparring session of me against Daniel. We were required to spar 1min 3 rounds and 30 sec break in between.

Lol. He's strength is so much stronger than mine. He kept trying his techniques from the internet. Counters like jumping backhook. And advancing kicks like 360 turning, back horse kick and the best double turning kick. Or so call flutter kick. And this kick caused me injured.

Sian... It's into the third round. I rarely kick him lor. Just once on the face. He did about 3 flutter kick and ALL landed on my left thigh. =.=" I do not know if it's legal. But it's obliviously under belt =.=", experts from youtube also does it sometimes... Mmm you decide ba.... Haiz.... Anyway i had a good fight but again and again my weakness overcome me. No guts and weak legs. Just "pattern, pattern" nia...

Omg someone train me.... Please.....

=Poomase Tournament=

Saturday was Rosyth tournament. I really appreciate people from everywhere to help out in the tournament. Especially Shijin and Shermain, disappear for so long but still there to help out in the tournament. And to Gordon and Jochim, day off from army still come down to support the tournament.

The following day, sunday. Sir bruce lee called me. I thought it's another scolding on the tournament. But i was wrong, he "jio" me to bedok stadium to take a look at the inter Jc poomase tournament.

The purpose of us going down is to see how is the setup like and the competition rules. So we can better understand about poomase tournament. I intent to take part in the national poomase tournament held next month. And sir also agreed. Mmm... Suprisingly he even ask me look for more people to go together. Ha really look forward to it.

MADE OF HONOUR

I've just finish watching the "Made of Honour" today at tampines. Alone as usual. It's a show i would really recommend, really got mixed feelings for the show.

And the real reason for watching that show, really, i want to see if i still into such romance kind of show and still a sweet guy i am. Ha ha

I almost cried for that movie. Ha i think i'm still a guy living in fantasy.

So dun wait till someone is gone. Tell him or her how you feels... It often doesn't seems so simple. It usually takes a lot of courage. A courage that is locked within us. Not even a 3rd dan has the key.

Lazy sat....

now slacking in bed, using my new N95 to type this blog. Haiz later still need to meet linus for Rosyth tournament discussion. Mmm evening go watch ironman with mark and zhixian. Dunno can handle both of them or not, lol both very active/ talkative type, can talk the whole day. Hee

My New PhOnE On ApRiL 26

April 26 was Tricia's birthday, lol how could I forget. But she's over in Hong Kong so dunno also if she can receive my message. Anyway HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU.....

April 26, I also got another new phone, Nokia N95, sounds a wow, rich guy, haha anyway with my mum's expired plan and with her points to redeem a $50 voucher, therefore discount $150 so i paid only SGD148. Thanks to my mum =).


April 27....
And today, I went swimming with a primary school friend, lol he's a guy with character just like Mark =.=" but this guy very despo about gals =.=" always wanting to find a girlfriend. Hee maybe because of he's character, He hardly found one. Which makes him pretty sad. He dun have many friends, always stay at home type, I think because not much people want to go out with him. So I "hao hao xian shen" lor. I actually plan to go swimming alone, end up I sms him to ask him along.

He never swim at all. His goggles broke before entering the pool. So I swam only like 8 laps and accompanied him to tampines to get his goggles replaced.

That all folks =x. Today type super a lot, sure a lot of grammar mistake. Anyway dun read if you dun understand... hahahaa

Going To the Expo ~~ FHA2008

Finally a week has past without boss. No really many jobs but also felt unsecured sia....

Yesterday went to Singapore expo with Kwang Tong during office hours for the exhibition FHA2008. Dunno what it means but I think is "Food and Hospitality Asia 2008". The exhibition is for trade visitor, each ticket is priced at SGD80 bucks sia. We did 2 booth of the exhibition

But lucky for us we were given a complimentary tickets to enter. The event was a very big one. From hall 1 till 6(the WHOLE of Singapore expo).

We eat a lot sia, from ice-cream to chocolates to biscuits to rice even.... haha we also view on the design of their booth, so that we have an ideal on our own exhibition during September.

My BoSS FLeW To KoReA

...... Today started off so miserable.... First I forgot to bring my handphone, and when I reach office, there's a lot of work to be handled over to me, cos my dear boss, Wendy and my cousin are flying to korea for holiday. =( actually wanted to go but then have to save $$ and someone has to be in the office ma, so that's gonna to be me (Y GOD created ah soon so good and Kind... haha).

Then, because of sending her to the airport around 7~8pm (10pm flight), I miss BHCC training again, continously for the 2nd week le, felt so bad man.... When at the airport, Mum, Dad and bro were already there to sent them off too.

After some coach breifing, we had dinner at the staff canteen before they depart. And then my very sweet dad drove us back in my Samsung lorry, haha drive that lorry for so long finally got a chance to sit at the back. So cooling and relaxing..... I felt that I am a lucky guy

Linus And Marks House Visit

Last Sat after grading, Mark and Linus invited me to his house for sort of birthday gathering, Waa his house is really big. A Swimming pood, a Fish pond full of KOI, a front yard enough for 2 expensive cars, and a sandbag as well. Hee he got a sand bag but never train =.=".

He also got 2 full grown dogs, golden retrival. SC and Sunshine. Lius was thrown into the pool 3 times. Can you belive it. Ha, Mark on the other hand did not get wet. We ate a lot of food, tell lot of lame jokes and even played Monopoly, I think I reach home around 11pm. =) It was a good experience. =)

Tired.... New sparring => Pugistic Wars ~~

Hee another day past like laser beam.... I've been missing people liao.... People who once went to Monday training and now disappeared. Some went to camps, some to army, some resting at home, some no heart to train anymore, haiz.... I only realise that when Clement mention at mac today, "ehh, Y you all come friday and not monday liao". =.="

Anyway today did a brand new sparring in my class, I call it pugistic sparring => attacker(s) can come in 1 or 2 holding arm-mit, then defender just plain sparring(full) or just hitting the arm-mits, it brings them(students) a step closer to real life fighting. Need a lot of guts and alertness.
